In 2002 SOHO hired Legacy 106, Inc. to write a landmark nomination for the South Park Commercial Transit Historic District, which included Fire Station No. 9, the Rose Grocery Store, Burlingame Garage, and the Munter & Munter Gas Station. This important little commercial node served the emerging South Park community from 1913 through 1955. The City of San Diego's Historical Resources Board is to be commended for their decision to landmark three of these important historical buildings. | ||
