Historic Landmark No.1262
Councilman Fred Heilbron House

Historic Landmark No.1262

1924 Spanish Colonial
Revival

Designated for association
with Fred Heilbron

Community Mission Hills

Designated July 27, 2017

A prominent local politician and businessman, Heilbron crusaded to
ensure that present and future generations of San Diego County
residents had an adequate supply of water. The San Diego County Water
Authority, which he co-founded and headed for nearly 30 years, was
responsible for bringing the first Colorado River water to San Diego.

This house is a excellent two-story example of the Spanish
Revival/Eclectic style with Mediterranean Revival influences.
