The Henry J. and Catherine Dowd House is an excellent example of
Spanish Colonial Revival style with Moresque influences. Notable
features include: (1) The Moresque cross-stacked fired clay tile
pattern beneath the front window; (2) The original garage doors with
crossed board pattern; (3) The porch balustrade of stacked half-
barrel tiles that form the barrier to the left of the front door; (4)
The ornamental rafter tails under the roof edge and beneath the
garage shed roof. Changes to the rear windows are not visible from
the public view; (5) The full Mission half barrel roof.
